To-Do List

We all have a daily routine. Wake up, brush teeth, make coffee, turn on the TV, get ready for work, etc. We all have our own drill. We make lists and execute our day the best we can. But have you ever stopped and examined your routine? Is it absolutely best way to live out your day? Is anything missing? Does anything need to be dropped? Who wrote that “To Do” list anyway?

We are approaching the end of a season. Summer has at least one more scorching heat wave in store for us but September is right around the corner and fall is coming. The kids are back in school. This is an excellent time to examine our most basic habits. The first decision to make is this, “Who will make my “To Do” list?

A “To Do” list is made either in reaction to life or in order to have an impact on life. If you want to find out what I mean by that, spend a little time in prayer each morning before making that list. Pray for God to show you his will for you this day, and pray for the strength to carry that out. Let God make your “To Do” list.

We all have a daily routine. Is your routine wearing you out or bringing a sense of purpose and renewal? Maybe it’s time for a change of seasons.
