Love

Love

This Sunday we will light the candle of love. What is love? Poets and philosophers have debated this question throughout history. I believe Paul captures it best in his letter to the Corinthians.

Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends. ~1 Corinthians 13:4-8

The love of God in Christ is the most powerful force we can experience. In giving our lives to Christ we open ourselves up to God’s love. We are called to live out our lives in humble obedience to Christ’s command to love one another as he loves us. In this season of Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love let us consider how this could change our lives and the world itself. Love never ends.

See you Sunday!
