Wise Words

What's in a Word? Speech is the most powerful force in the universe. God spoke the universe into being with a Word. God has entrusted us with the power of speech. How do you use this gift?

We have a choice to use our words to create or to destroy; to bless or to curse.  Each day of our lives we must choose our words. It would be wise to choose them with purpose.

God shares with us the power of creation itself. It is very much like fire. Words can comfort and sustain us or they can burn others to the ground. We are all guilty of misusing words leading to destruction.

In this season, let us remember that the Holy Spirit falls upon each of us like tongues of fire.
Let us choose each day to use this power not for destruction but in obedience to the creative and restorative power of God's Holy Spirit. Let us all choose wisely.
