Thin Places
There is a Celtic saying that heaven and earth are only three feet apart, but in the thin places that distance is even smaller. A thin place is where the veil that separates heaven and earth is lifted and one is able to receive a glimpse of the glory of God. If you have not been introduced to the ancient concept of ‘thin place’ maybe this will help.
This place effortlessly welcomes the stranger home.
In this place time is not welcome, as Heaven leans in and whispers, ‘I AM HERE’.
Ears, fashioned to hear the invitation, ring with the song of love.
In this place the heart begins to mend in its most broken parts.
In this place the dreamer remembers his dreams, the singer remembers her song, and the child
remembers to trust.
In this place, the poet remembers her Love..
When Heaven leans in and whispers, ‘I AM HERE.’
If you have not been to church in a while, you are truly missed. I have found very few ‘Thin Places’ in this world. But for me, Cordova Presbyterian Church is one of them. Come see what I am taking about…
See you Sunday!
