New Creation

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Take a moment and remember where you were 10 years ago or even 20 years ago.

As we examine ourselves with this perfect 20/20 hindsight, we might regret some things done (or left undone). We remember friends and family members who are no longer with us. We are tempted to look back on these days and long for them. But I want you to put all that aside for a moment. I want you to focus, not only on where you were then, but WHO you were then.

Scripture makes this bold claim that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. I would argue that this is a reality that continues throughout the course of our lives. We are continually being re-created by the One who can’t help but create and renew and resurrect!

So, as you look back don’t regret and as you look forward do not be afraid. Live in the truth that you are a new creation in Christ. Easter is not just a Sunday morning service. It is the reality of Christ breaking into our lives and transforming WHO we are every single day. May you live in this truth today and long for its promise for tomorrow.

See you Sunday!
