Thought of the Day

Be careful of your thoughts, for your thoughts become your words.
Be careful of your words, for your words become your actions.
Be careful of your actions, for your actions become your habits.
Be careful of your habits, for your habits become your character.
Be careful of your character, for your character becomes your destiny. -  Chinese proverb

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. - Proverbs 4:23

The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil; for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks. – Jesus (Luke 6:45)

What is the attitude of your heart? Are your thoughts toward others merciful or unsympathetic? Truthfully, we all have room for improvement. It’s important how we THINK of others, especially those who annoy or frustrate us.

It doesn’t really matter if we consider ourselves Christian or just ‘good people’; we are followers of Christ when we rely on God to guide our thoughts, words and actions.  The character that Christ produces in us is one of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

It all begins with a thought. And that thought might just be a prayer.

See you Sunday,
